2023 in 2043: Welsh Valley’s Time Capsule

On May 26, 2023, Mr. Lewis, a 7th grade science teacher, buried a time capsule. Surrounded by teachers and students, the pipe-looking capsule is set to open in 20 years, or May 26, 2043. One of the items in it is a photograph of most of the 7th grade, and it is unknown what the other two items are. It was buried somewhere near the flag, and it’s now the question of who will come to the school in 20 years. This begs the question of how much will change in 2 decades.

We can definitely assume that several teachers have retired, and every classroom has been rearranged. Every student now is in their thirties, and some have started families, gotten jobs, and made actual money. We can speculate for a long time on what new technology will be invented, and what new trends and fads will appear. All we know is that Welsh Valley will still be here in 2043, and many people will come to dig it back up.
