Rocky Mountain Chocolate Chip Cookies

Rocky+Mountain+Chocolate+Chip+Cookies

If you’re craving the perfect chocolate chip cookie that is not too soft and has a good crunch, then you are in the right place!

When you get home from school, you feel quite hungry, but you don’t want to stuff yourself. This is the perfect recipe to make if you want the perfect crunchy and sweet cookie.

Ingredients:

  • Two sticks of melted butter
  • One cup of Dark brown sugar *
  • One cup granulated sugar
  • Two eggs
  • Two tablespoons of milk
  • Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • Two cups of sifted all purpose flour
  • One teaspoon of baking powder
  • One teaspoon of baking soda
  • One teaspoon of salt
  • Two cups of quick-cooking oats (Other types of oats might not work as well)
  • 12 Ounces of chocolate chips (Add more if you want because no one cares)
  • (Optional) One cup of walnuts

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar. Then add eggs, milk, and vanilla until blended.
  2. Sift the rest of the dry ingredients and then add it into the butter mixture. Stir in oats. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  3. Wait for one hour (Or more) for better results, then preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.**
  4. Cook for 8-12 minutes***, then cool.
  5. Enjoy!

Notes:

* Light brown sugar works too, but if you don’t have any dark brown sugar, just add a bit of molasses.

** I know that 350 degrees seems crazy, but it works.

*** When I was making this recipe, I found that closer to twelve minutes works the best because it’s more cooked on the inside.
