The Flow

Betrayal
The crack of the barrier
Slowly widening, crumbling
Falling down, piece by piece
Releasing its inmates
They flood by, swarming, disengaging
The swirl of emotions
The puncturing of pride
The stabbing relief
The shifting frustration
The wrestling mourning
Anger griping towards the surface
Spilling out in waves,
Like the ocean shores uncontained
The bond holding them finally broken
Peace, struggling to survive
Weakly pushing its way through the eyes
Showing the receiver the Core
The waves crash,
One by one
Brick by brick
‘Til all that’s left is ambivalence
The sole survivor of betrayal
