Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Without breakfast, you’re more at risk for at least 8 illnesses. These illnesses include diabetes, heart disease and more. Besides the health risk, you’re more likely to become obese and be low on many vitamins or other resources like iron. While you might think that not eating breakfast is good for your diet, it’s been proven in over 14 studies it doesn’t help but actually does quite the opposite. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because without it, you will be incapable of doing your best, have a higher chance of becoming ill and becoming obese.
Skipping breakfast will most likely cause a low energy level and make you feel incredibly tired and unable to work. Have you ever gone to the nurse because of a headache or simply fatigue? Have they asked you what you’ve eaten that day, because not eating can not only cause stomach aches but things like intolerable headaches and extreme tiredness. In an article by Better Health Channel it states, “Without the extra energy that breakfast can offer, some people feel lethargic and turn to high-energy food and drinks to get them through the day.” Not eating can make basic tasks like writing an email unbearable. Medical News Today also says, “Breakfast provides the body with important nutrients, to start the day feeling energized and nourished.” You shouldn’t skip something like breakfast because after hours of not eating during your sleep and a long day to get through, not having enough energy in your body will be the opposite of helpful. Also, eating breakfast makes you less likely to snack throughout the day on less healthy snacks. You should always have something in the morning with proteins and less sugar like yogurt. You should also have some carbohydrates and fibers like fruits. Breakfast is the most important meal because it helps you get through the day.
Another reason that breakfast is the most important meal of the day is because without it you are much more likely than the average person to fall ill. Examples of this would be high cholesterol or diabetes, even high blood pressure. All this can happen from a simple thing like skipping a morning snack. Medical News Today wrote, “One 2021 systematic reviewTrusted Source of 14 observational studies found that those who eat breakfast seven times per week have a reduced risk for: heart disease, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, stroke, abdominal obesity, cardiovascular-related death, elevated low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol.” If you simply don’t want these, try eating some non-fat yogurt, granola and fruit for breakfast instead of skipping it all together. With that, you’re also likely to gain more weight by skipping breakfast. Your chance of obesity is 11% higher when skipping breakfast. If your dietary restriction is to not eat breakfast, maybe instead regulate your sugar intake and focus on fiber, protein and getting your vitamins. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because without it, you’re more likely to have health issues.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for countless reasons. You should never skip breakfast for dietary restrictions but focus on what you’re eating. You should not skip breakfast because you’re more likely to have health risks. You should eat breakfast because it helps you get through the day. Breakfast is the most important meal.
