Get shopping everyone! Because Welsh Valley once again is doing the Thanksgiving Food Drive!
This food drive is one of the most important events in the Welsh Valley because many people and families can’t afford to buy food for Thanksgiving. This is one of the reasons why it is important.
Homerooms all throughout the school will compete in a competition to see who can get the most food by Friday the 22nd.
In the Food Drive, students can bring traditional food onto the plate of people who might be unable to have otherwise. Although the food drive is a competition…It’s really about caring for others and thinking about what they need.
You can donate a whole bag of food, or just one can. Every donation counts!
Some foods you can bring are-Reusable Bags, Canned chicken, Can or jar of gravy, Stove Top Stuffing mix, Instant mashed potatoes, Can of sweet potatoes, Cream of mushroom soup, Can of green beans, and more!
Some sweet treats you could bring to make a person’s day are-Cranberry sauce, Chocolate bars, or even a $25 grocery gift cards!
Don’t feel bad if you can’t donate, but if you can, please do.
It is really appreciated that you put time into buying the food and/or bags for our community if you’re able.
This year the Food Drive will end on Friday, 11/22 so make sure you bring in food by Friday!
