Being in Elementary School feels like yesterday even though I’m standing now as an 8th grader. I’ve always regarded Middle School as an incredibly far away place since I was little. It’s crazy how time really flies by.
Welsh Valley Middle School was an exceptional educational institution. I learned a great deal from the place too. So far, this year as an eighth grader was normal like the other middle school years; 5, 6, and 7. The only significant difference is the change in pressure and deadlines. There is more stress on students this year since highschool is closer than ever, and due dates have become shorter for most classes.
It feels nice to have come so far in terms of education. Let’s find out another 8th grader’s perspective on this.
Emma: Hi, Hila!
Hila: Hey, Emma!
Emma: How was 8th grade for you so far?
Hila: Fun, though a bit challenging.
Emma: Was it how you thought 8th grade would be like?
Hila: Yeah, I expected it to be difficult but also interesting. It just is what it is.
Emma: What was the hardest part about 8th grade? For example, grades or deadlines.
Hila: Perhaps knowing that this is my last year in middle school, and I don’t want to leave its really chill environment where grades don’t matter as much compared to highschool. I’m just anticipating highschool and worried about the shift in the importance of extracurriculars.
Emma: Thank you for your time!
Hila: Of course!
